The Rotary Club of ILKESTON is The Rotary Club of Nottingham's first 'daughter club' and was 'chartered' into Rotary Club International in 1922. Ilkeston is one of 72 clubs which make up the rotary area 1220 which covers Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and a part of South Yorkshire.
Our club meets on a Monday night at the Stanhope Arms, Stanton by Dale, Ilkeston. Food is served at 6.30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm. We are a lively, warm and friendly group of people and exist to abide by the Rotary Moto 'Service above self' by putting all our efforts into supporting local, national and INTERNATIONAL charties.
In the past Rotary Clubs were male only membership, some still are. However, Ilkeston now welcomes lady members.

Amongst the sale items this year were some of the knitted popies from the display in Victoria Park which sold very well. As always we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the people of Ilkeston.
